The couple who commissioned this painting had such good memories of hiking in the gorge as a family, that I couldn’t help but try to capture that feeling of wanting to soak in the last bit of dusky glow as the day begins to cool and the shadows of night fall as you head back to the car and start the journey home after a beautiful day. I can’t help but love the gentle reminder that in this life, we’re always being led home by the Light.
