While scouting out a good place to do a plein air painting at a local lavender farm this last summer, I loved this view of our dear Mt. Hood peeking over the evergreens and overlooking this lavender field. I couldn’t help but think of how often us locals instinctually look for her, and then the comfort of being surrounded by the calming, healing nature of the lavender, it was a picturesque feast for the senses, and a great summertime memory for me.
