I was driving some rural roads early one morning, a bit overwhelmed with a lot on my mind, when the vibrant pink of the sunrise coming from behind the mountain caught my attention. The cool morning had laid a blanket of dewy fog just above the yellow straw, and the dark evergreens were silhouettes against the sky. It was all so peaceful, and yet probably not even seen by most of the houses I was driving past. In the silence of that morning it felt like it was only for me, a beautifully tender sign that it was going to be a good day.
